A pure-bred heritage line, that can be used for either breeding or meat, they are listed as At Risk by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

 

They have a wonderful nature and we have have always found them to be nurturing mothers, producing good size litters of piglets.

 

They will need ample space with strong fencing due to the fact they are a fairly sizeable breed, plus a good shelter such as a pig ark where they will spend most of the time sleeping.

 

They are a magnificent variety, and breeding them forward helps secure this rare breed's future for years to come.

Although these pigs are pure breed and from pedigree stock, they aren’t registered pedigree themselves and therefore none of their piglets are registered.
